Joined Nov 8, Messages 1, A wireless repeater sits in the middle of a wireless network and relays traffic. So think of this. You have a bunch of radio waves in the air. Then the waves just can't quite make it to your PS3, so they go into the wireless reapter, then are sent back out again through the antenna to give reamplified waves.
Basically it can get you farther away from the router and still get you internet. Unless you are a good distance from the router, then I am not quite sure how this would help your issue unless the PS3 wireless card is extremely underpowered and has bad antennas, which I do not think it does. You say the PS3's have bad wireless cards so I am going to make an assumption. I am going to assume that if this is true, you are wanting to get away from the wireless card and use the network port.
So, in this case you would want a wireless bridge, not a wireless repeater. So rather than this wireles repeater So, I guess I just need more information, is the wireless signal weak, or just increadibly slow? Are you sure that it's not your internet? Go to www. Alright, firstly thanks for the response, I wasn't expecting to get one this quickly.
Now let me answer the questions you posed. A repeater is used for amplification of the signal originally emitted from the router. Now my PS3 is probably about 30 feet from the router I use to feed the signal to it. However it has to broadcast its signal through two walls to reach my PS3.
So I guess a repeater wouldn't be the answer. Since its not actually stated - you solder the outer of the semi ridged coax to the brass plate. Minor but important points ;-. The center of the double square has 2 open ends thats soldered to the center '' copper '' part of the semi - rigid cable right?
The outside of the semi-rigid, Can you show a close up picture of how the double square is solder to the semi rigid? Grrr I hate that these are all videos, if I didn't have a problem with signal strength and subsequently buffering videos and etc I wouldn't be here - -.
